இலக்கணம் இலக்கியம் என்பன தூய தமிழ்ச்சொற்கள்.
அறியாதவர்களும் ஆரிய-சமற்கிருதச் சார்பானவர்களும் வேண்டுமென்றே
லக்ஷணம், லக்ஷ்யம் என்னும் சமற்கிருதச் சொற்களில் இருந்து
இவை வந்தவை என்று வாய்கூசாமல் சொல்லி வருகின்றனர்.
